North Ridge Studio Renovation
The North Ridge Studio renovation was used to turn an empty loft space above the client's garage into a pottery studio. We began by insulating the walls with Rockwall insulation (fireproof, soundproof, and hydrophobic). Storage walls were framed in and custom doors were built and added. Drywall was installed in the stairway leading to the studio as well as throughout the space. Pine tongue and groove boards were added to the ceiling as well as used for the storage doors. The pine tongue and groove boards have a satin finish to make the space feel more open. Paint-grade Poplar trim and black hardware are seen throughout the space to give a modern look. All baseboards are pine to reflect the same look as the ceiling and doors. The staircase is made of poplar paint grade risers, red oak stair treads, and a beech railing also with black hardware to create a cohesive look.
